Extension In-Service Proposal Information

Please review all of the information before you begin to fill in the proposal form.

The following information is provided to assist you in planning your in-service training for extension faculty, staff, and field-based educators. Please note that faculty can be an audience as well as field-based educators. The in-service request for proposal (RFP) process is entirely electronic. Please note that the browser cannot save the information in an unsubmitted proposal form.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Proposals for statewide in-services will be reviewed by the State Program Leaders. Priority will be given to those proposals that address one or more of the following components:

  • current and/or emerging issues
  • utilization of new technologies in delivering educational programs
  • education and promotion of leadership skills
  • partnerships with diverse audiences and/or incorporation of a diversity component
  • collaborations with faculty and research projects relevant to extension
  • utilization of the fee-based cost recovery/revenue generation system
  • additional issues noted in the POW criteria that are applicable across all program areas: youth technical subject matter training; public policy issues; public education; and intergenerational programs and practices
  • basic risk management and program development for new educators and updates for experienced educators

Our goal this coming year is to provide educators with in-services that incorporate emergent research efforts, enhance program planning efforts, highlight innovative ideas for programming and delivery, and increase collaboration with current and prospective partners.

2006/2007 Statewide In-Service Dates

Statewide in-services will be offered at the times noted below with a program focus based on the Plans of Work. The 2007-2008 dates follow:

Spring Statewide In-Service

Only online in-service RFP submissions will be accepted. You may wish to print a copy of the form for planning purposes.
